Christopher Oddleifson
President and Chief Executive Officer

Chris Oddleifson is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Rockland Trust Company and its parent, Independent Bank Corp.  Active in industry and community affairs, Chris is the Immediate Past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Bankers Association, serves on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Housing Partnership, South Shore Chamber of Commerce, and the Cohasset Education Foundation; he is a Trustee and the Past Chairman of the South Shore Hospital Health and Education Foundation, Chairman and Trustee of the Cape Cod Community College, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Old Colony Council's Boy Scouts of America. Chris' previous positions include the President of First Union Home Equity Bank, Executive Vice President of Signet Bank, and a management consultant for Booz, Allen and Hamilton.

Denis Sheahan has served as Chief Financial Officer of the Company and Rockland Trust since May 2000. From July 1996 to May 2000, Denis was Senior Vice President and Controller of the Company and Rockland Trust. Prior thereto, Denis served as Vice President of Finance for BayBanks, Inc., Boston, MA.

Jane Lundquist joined Rockland Trust as Executive Vice President of Retail Banking and Corporate Marketing on July 19, 2004. Prior to joining Rockland Trust Company, Jane served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Cambridgeport Bank in Cambridge, MA. and President of Port Financial Corp., the holding company for the Bank.

Gerry Nadeau is the Executive Vice President in charge of Commercial Banking. Gerry started his career with Rockland Trust in June of 1984 as a Management Trainee. For over twenty years he has consistently been one of the Bank's top lenders, working his way up through the ranks of the Commercial Lending department. In 1995, Gerry was promoted to Senior Vice President /Brockton Commercial Lending Center Manager, and in 1998 he became Senior Vice President/Brockton Regional Lending Center Manager. Gerry was promoted to Executive Vice President, Commercial Banking in 2007.

Ray Fuerschbach has served as Senior Vice President and Human Resource Officer of Rockland Trust since April 1994. Prior thereto, Ray had been Vice President and Human Resource Officer of Rockland Trust since 1992. From January 1991 to October 1992, Ray served as Director of Human Resources for Cliftex Corp., New Bedford, Mass., a tailored clothing manufacturer and served in the same capacity for Chesebrough-Ponds, Inc., Health-Tex Division, Cumberland, R.I., from 1987 to 1991.

Ed Seksay has served as General Counsel of Rockland Trust since July 2000. Ed is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review. Prior to joining Rockland Trust, Ed was with the Boston law firm of Heller, Levin & Seksay, P.C. from 1991 to 2000 and with the Boston law firm Choate, Hall & Stewart from 1984 to 1991.

Ed Jankowski has served as Chief Technology and Operating Officer of Rockland Trust since November 2004. Prior to that Ed served as Chief Risk Officer of Rockland Trust since October 2003. From November 2000 to October 2003, Ed was Chief Internal Auditor of Rockland Trust. Prior thereto, Ed served as Senior Vice President of North Shore Bank, Peabody, MA., from 1995 to 2000. From 1985 to 1994, Ed was Senior Vice President of Multibank Service Corp., a subsidiary of Multibank Financial Corp. in Dedham, MA.

David Smith has served as Chief Investment Officer and Senior Portfolio Manager for Rockland Trust since June of 2005. From December of 2003 to June of 2005 he served as Senior Portfolio Manager and Senior Investment Officer for Rockland Trust. Prior thereto, David was a founding partner, Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager of Mellon Growth Advisors (MGA), a subsidiary of Mellon Financial Corporation. David has worked in the investment management field since 1990, and has also held positions at State Street Global Advisors and The Tuckerman Group.
