Step 1
Review our giving guidelines to determine your eligibility for funding.
Step 2
Access the application portal by creating a new organizational account or logging into an existing account.

Description

Grants provide program or general operating support to non-profits designated as a 501(c)(3) Public Charity by the IRS.

Funding Priorities

Grants are provided to organizations or programs that fall within the following focus areas:
  • Affordable Housing, including homeless/domestic violence shelters
  • Small Business Support
  • Children & Youth, except youth sports teams
  • Financial Inclusion and Workforce Development
Organizations must be located in, and serve, individuals in one or more of the following geographic areas:
  • Barnstable
  • Norfolk
  • Bristol
  • Plymouth
  • Dukes
  • Suffolk
  • Essex
  • Worcester Counties in Massachusetts
  • Middlesex
  • Providence County, Rhode Island
  • Nantucket

Exclusion Criteria

  • Non 501(c)(3) Public Charity designated organizations or other grantmaking foundations 
  • Political or religious (activities for religious purposes) organizations
  • Capital requests (construction/renovation projects) or annual appeal campaigns
  • Single-disease research and/or support organizations
  • Town/City/Municipal departments or schools
  • Organizations which are discriminatory in their practices
  • Requests that benefit one person or few people
  • Where Rockland Trust is the single funder of a project/program

Application Timeline

Grant applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis until October 11, 2024 at 5:00pm. Decisions will be communicated 8-12 weeks after submission.

Organizations must be located in, and serve, individuals in one or more of the following geographic areas:
  • Barnstable
  • Norfolk
  • Bristol
  • Plymouth
  • Dukes
  • Suffolk

  • Worcester counties in Massachusetts
  • Middlesex
  • Rhode Island
  • Nantucket

Exclusion Criteria

Community donations are contributions to support programs and fulfill local needs that do not align with Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation's grant guidelines and focus areas. Rockland Trust does not accept community donation requests for capital projects (renovation/construction of buildings, playgrounds, pools, sports fields, etc.)

Application Timeline

Community Donations are reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the year and decisions will be communicated 6-8 weeks after submission.

Description

Event Sponsorships are requests for funding for date-specific events to 501(c)(3) nonprofit and community-based organizations.

Funding Priorities

Support for upcoming gala or golf events, walks/runs, cultural performances or other community events.

Organizations must be located in, and serve, individuals in one or more of the following geographic areas:
  • Barnstable
  • Norfolk
  • Bristol
  • Plymouth
  • Dukes
  • Suffolk
  • Essex
  • Worcester Counties in Massachusetts
  • Middlesex
  • Rhode Island
  • Nantucket

Exclusion Criteria

  • Individual pursuits
  • Political organizations
  • Capital campaigns
  • Organizations which are discriminatory in their practices
  • Request for events that have already occurred

Application Timeline

Event sponsorship applications must be received a minimum of 6-8 weeks prior to the event's publicity deadline and are reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the year.

If you are completing the grant application, the Tax ID must be a 501(c)(3) Public Charity number registered with the IRS.
