Started as a home party business in 2005 by two stay-at-home moms from Cape Cod - Catherine Bean and Megan Murphy - bella of Cape Cod soon expanded to a website storefront in 2005, offering the Cape Cod summer crowd the opportunity to purchase bella of Cape Cod's goods in the off season.
The success of the online storefront soon made it apparent that more space was needed - Catherine and Megan both had overflowing garages and family rooms! The opening of bella of Cape Cod's first retail store in Hyannis took place in June of 2007. Starting out they opened just two days a week, which soon grew to four, then seven… And in June 2010 and May 2011, bella of Cape Cod expanded to another store in Hyannis and then a third in Chatham.
In addition to providing fashionable accessories at reasonable prices, the ladies of bella of Cape Cod also believe in "paying it forward." In March of 2007 they launched their fundraising program, where 20% of any one day's sales will be donated to a customer's chosen organization or charity. Catherine and Megan understand the importance of building meaningful relationships and giving back to the local community - so it's no wonder they chose to bank with Rockland Trust. Since 2005 bella of Cape Cod has had a business partner and advocate in Rockland Trust - someone to help them succeed and grow, and even provide financing for expansion and building out the Chatham store.
When asked how they feel about Rockland Trust, Catherine and Megan of bella of Cape Cod say, "Our relationship with Rockland Trust is one all small businesses should enjoy with their bank!"
