President and Chief Executive Officer
Christopher Oddleifson is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Rockland Trust Company and its parent, Independent Bank Corp. Rockland Trust, a full service commercial and retail bank, serves more than 200,000 customers with 1,100 employees. Rockland Trust has $6.3 billion in assets, $2.4 billion in assets under management and more than 90 retail branches and other offices located in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Active in industry and community affairs, Mr. Oddleifson is the Chairman of the Massachusetts Housing Partnership, immediate Past Chairman and member of the Campaign Cabinet of the United Way of Greater Plymouth County Campaign and immediate Past Chairman and Trustee of Cape Cod Community College. Mr. Oddleifson also serves as Vice-Chairman of the South Shore Hospital, a Trustee of the South Shore Hospital Charitable Foundation, and a member of the Boston Federal Reserve Bank Community Development Institution Advisory Council. He just completed ten years as a member of the Old Colony Council's Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Oddleifson also served on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Bankers Association and as its Chairman during 2009-2010. Previously, Mr. Oddleifson was the former President of First Union Home Equity Bank, a national banking subsidiary of First Union Corporation, and the Executive Vice President, responsible for Consumer Banking, for Signet Bank in Richmond, VA. He has also worked as a management consultant for Booz, Allen and Hamilton. Mr. Oddleifson holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Chief Financial Officer
Robert Cozzone is the current Chief Financial Officer of Rockland Trust. He has worked at Rockland Trust for 15 years and served as the Treasurer of Rockland Trust and Independent Bank Corp. from 2008 until September 2013. Past duties have included interest rate risk management, capital strategy oversight, asset/liability management, financial reporting, budget preparation and financial forecasting oversight, profitability analyses, and merger and acquisition modeling. Rob is a graduate of Bridgewater State University and received a Master's in Science from Boston College.

Director of Consumer & Small Business Banking
Jane Lundquist joined Rockland Trust as Executive Vice President in 2004. Prior to joining Rockland Trust, Jane served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Cambridgeport Bank in Cambridge, MA and President of Port Financial Corp. the holding company for the bank. Prior to her career in banking, Jane worked as a management consultant at Braxton Associates. Her professional activities include serving on the Board of Trustees at Newbury College and the Board of Directors of the Franciscan Hospital for Children. She is also a member of the Boston Club and the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Women's Advisory Board. Jane holds a Master's of Business Administration from University of Virginia and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Accounting from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Executive Vice President
Gerry Nadeau is the Executive Vice President in charge of Commercial Banking. Gerry started his career with Rockland Trust in June of 1984 as a Management Trainee. For over 20 years he has consistently been one of the Bank's top lenders, working his way up through the ranks of the Commercial Lending department. In 1995, Gerry was promoted to Senior Vice President/Brockton Commercial Lending Center Manager and in 1998 he became Senior Vice President/Brockton Regional Lending Center Manager. Gerry was promoted to his current role 2007. Gerry serves on the Board of Directors for numerous organizations including the Stonehill College Executive Committee for Development, Southeastern MA Affordable Housing Corporation, Montello Affordable Housing Corporation, SEED Corporation, Metro South Chamber of Commerce, and the Brockton Boys & Girls Club. He is a graduate of Bentley University with a Bachelor's degree in Business.
Director of Human Resources
Ray Fuerschbach has served as Director of Human Resource for Rockland Trust since 1994. Previously, he had been Vice President and Human Resource Officer of Rockland Trust. Prior to joining Rockland Trust, Ray served as Director of Human Resources for Cliftex Corp., New Bedford, Mass., a tailored clothing manufacturer and served in the same capacity for Chesebrough-Ponds, Inc., Health-Tex Division, Cumberland, R.I. Ray currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Plymouth Philharmonic. He is a graduate of the University of Buffalo, SUNY with a Bachelor's degree in Business Science concentrating in Industrial Relations.
Ed Seksay is the General Counsel of Rockland Trust Company and its parent bank holding company Independent Bank Corp. He also serves as the Manager of Rockland Trust Company's New Markets Tax Credit lending program, which deploys awards of federal tax credits granted on a nationwide competitive basis through below market interest rate loans that promote job creation in low-income communities. Prior to joining Rockland Trust, Ed was with the Boston law firm of Heller, Levin & Seksay, P.C. from 1991 to 2000 and with the Boston law firm Choate, Hall & Stewart from 1984 to 1991. Ed is a member of the Board of Directors of the Northeast Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel and currently serves as its Treasurer. He is a member of the New Markets Tax Credit Coalition Board of Directors and currently serves as its Secretary. Ed is also the Founding Chairman of the American Bankers Association Regional Banks General Counsels Group and is a Trustee of the Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation. Ed is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review, and the College of the Holy Cross.
Chief Information Officer
Barry Jensen has worked at Rockland Trust for 15 years and currently serving as the Chief Information Officer. Previously, he served as Controller and the Principal Accounting Officer of Rockland Trust and Independent Bank Corp. Prior to joining Rockland Trust, Barry worked at Bay Bank as a Senior Financial Analyst. He is a graduate of Salem State University and received a Master's in Business Administration from Bentley University.
David B. Smith, CFA
Chief Investment Officer
David Smith has served as Rockland Trust's Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer since 2005. Prior to that, he served as Senior Portfolio Manager and Senior Investment Officer for Rockland Trust. Before joining Rockland Trust, David was a founding partner, Senior Vice President, and Senior Portfolio Manager of Mellon Growth Advisors (MGA), a subsidiary of Mellon Financial Corporation. He has worked in the investment management field since 1990 and has also held positions at State Street Global Advisors and The Tuckerman Group. David is a CFA charterholder, a member of the CFA Institute, and the Boston Security Analysts Society. He serves on the SSgA Advisory Council and on the Advisory Board for the Finance Programs at the Sawyer School of Management at Suffolk University He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst and a Master's in Finance from the Sawyer School of Management at Suffolk University.
Chief Marketing Officer
Mark Gibson joined Rockland Trust as Chief Marketing Officer in 2011. Prior to joining Rockland Trust, Mark was Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for New Alliance Bank in New Haven, Connecticut. He also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at BBVA Compass Bank in Birmingham, Alabama. In addition, Mark has more than 10 years of consulting experience with various firms including Coopers & Lybrand in New York, John Ryan Company in Stamford, CT, and Retail Planning Associates and Battelle Memorial Institute both in Columbus, OH. Mark received both his Master's of Arts in Marketing and Bachelor's in Accounting and Marketing from the Ohio State University.
