Hanover, Mass. (July 25, 2018) – Rockland Trust announced the appointment of James Murphy as Vice President and Director of Information Security. In this role he oversees the Bank’s program to safeguard the security of Rockland Trust’s customer and proprietary information.
James brings more than 20 years of experience in information security, information technology, and risk management to Rockland Trust. Prior to joining the Bank, he was an IT Examination Analyst with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Previously he held leadership roles with the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and Citizens Bank.
A graduate of Brandeis University, James holds a Master of Science in Information Technology Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Merrimack College. He resides in Pembroke with his wife and two children.
