Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation Grants $1,000 to Doolittle Home

ROCKLAND, Mass. (June 3, 2013) - The Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation today announced a grant of $1,000 to the Doolittle Home in Foxboro to purchase a senior-friendly television and DVD player to support the home's mission of providing quality housing and care to the elderly. The Doolittle Home provides a wide variety of services for the elderly in Massachusetts, including life care, residency, and respite care.

"The Doolittle Home provides critical services to elderly citizens in our community, and we at Rockland Trust are pleased to assist them in their mission to serve the community," said Ralph Valente, Director of the Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation. "We hope that our donation will further aid the home in its efforts to give residents the best living experience possible."

The Doolittle Home's staff of doctors, nurses, therapists, and caretakers is professionally trained to work with elderly citizens, and specializes in insuring comfort and stability in a new environment. The Home's life care services provide room and meals to residents for life, as well as services including medication management, activities, and nursing staff. For those caring for ill loved ones at home, the Doolittle Home provides respite care for one-week or longer stays, including housekeeping, activities, laundry, and other amenities to provide busy caretakers with a well-deserved rest.

"At Doolittle Home, our staff, services, and programs provide opportunities for elderly citizens to receive the proper care they need in a pleasurable environment," said DeAnna Willis, Executive Director of Doolittle Home. "We are very grateful for this donation from Rockland Trust, which will be used to create an entertaining, educational, and stimulating environment for our elderly residents."
