Rockland Trust Named Official Bank of the 2013 Independent Film Festival Boston

Bank to Sponsor 11th Annual Festival

ROCKLAND, Mass (April 22, 2013) - Rockland Trust today announced its support for the 11th annual Independent Film Festival Boston as the official bank sponsor of New England's premier event showcasing independent filmmakers. From April 24 to 30 the Festival will feature nearly 100 films from around the world in theaters throughout Greater Boston, including the Somerville Theater in Davis Square. The sponsorship marks the launch of Rockland Trust's commitment to supporting community activities and initiatives in the Greater Boston area.

This year's festival includes feature-length and short films, documentaries, animated films, panel discussions with filmmakers, opportunities to meet visiting producers and actors, and more. In addition to Somerville Theater, screenings will take place at Coolidge Corner Theater in Brookline, Brattle Theater in Harvard Square, UMass Boston, and Theater 1 in Boston.

The festival will open on April 24th at the Somerville Theater with a screening of The Spectacular Now starring Kyle Chandler, and directed by James Ponsoldt, who will be in attendance on Opening Night.
