Rockland Trust Returns as Official Bank and Presenting Sponsor of the 41st New Balance Falmouth Road Race Wheelchair Division Race

Bank to Give Away Baseball Hats, Cash Leading Up to Race

ROCKLAND, Mass. (July 31, 2013) - Rockland Trust today announced it will be the Official Bank & Presenting Sponsor of the Men's and Women's Wheelchair Division of the 2013 New Balance Falmouth Road Race. This is the fifth year in a row the bank has sponsored the event, which will take place on Sunday, August 11, 2013. To celebrate the race, Rockland Trust's three branches in Falmouth will be distributing branded baseball hats to customers leading up to August 11th. Each person wearing a Rockland Trust hat prior to and at the Falmouth Road Race will have a chance to receive a voucher for $25 or $50 in cash from designated Rockland Trust employees, including the bank's running team.

Rockland Trust branches at 20 Davis Street, 395 East Falmouth Highway, and 78 County Road in Falmouth will be distributing Rockland Trust branded hats from August 2nd until the race on August 11th. Everyone who receives a hat will be eligible to collect a $25 or $50 voucher redeemable for cash at any Rockland Trust branch. To be eligible to receive a voucher, individuals must be seen by designated members of the Rockland Trust team from August 9 to August 11 or members of the bank's running team at the Falmouth Road Race.

The Falmouth Road Race each year draws an international field of Olympians, elite runners, and recreational runners from across the country and world. This year, the New Balance Falmouth Road Race organization expects to have more than 12,000 runners and wheelchair athletes who will participate in the seven-mile course, which stretches from Woods Hole to the finish line in Falmouth Heights.
