Jack Gates

Jack Gates is the advanced insurance specialist, and has been with Rockland Trust since 2017. Jack is responsible for providing advanced planning strategies and insurance advisory services to high net worth clients, corporate executives, multi-generational families, and business owners. Jack focuses on areas such as estate and legacy planning, business succession planning, buy/sell agreements, charitable and family gifting, executive benefits, and supplemental retirement planning.

Jack has worked in the financial services industry since 1989. Prior to joining Rockland Trust, Jack worked for Northwestern Mutual Life for 16 years as an agent and “player coach,” both managing agents and personally producing. Additionally, he was founder of P&C LifePlans, Inc., an independent insurance brokerage firm, and worked for Highland Capital Brokerage working with institutional financial advisors and their key accounts to create tailored wealth transfer and estate liquidity programs.

Jack enjoys being involved in his community. He is a past President of Little League, selected to the Scituate Economic Development Commission, a member of School Council, and a youth sports coach. Jack lives in Scituate, MA, with his wife, Lisa, and their four children, Owen, Julia, Harry, and Henry.
