Nantucket Local Gets Promoted as Business Banking Officer for Nantucket Bank
February 12, 2024 - Nantucket Bank, a division of Rockland Trust, is pleased to announce that Benjamin Ferrantella has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Business Banking Officer. In this role, Ferrantella will be responsible for growing relationships with Nantucket businesses.
Ferrantella has been a resident of the island for nearly his whole life and has been with Nantucket Bank since 2017. He previously worked as a Commercial Credit Underwriter. Prior to that, he worked at Brown Brothers Harriman as an Operations Specialist in Boston after earning his bachelor's degree in management and finance from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
Rockland Trust’s Government Banking Team Expands
February 12, 2024 - Rockland Trust has expanded its Government Banking Team with the addition of Jill Sorel as a Municipal Sales & Service Officer. In this role, Sorel will manage and expand the Housing Authority portfolio and provide daily service support to existing municipalities.
Sorel joins Rockland Trust after dedicating more than 15 years at Citizens Bank in various roles, including retail banking and business banking. She most recently served as the branch manager of Citizen Bank’s Marshfield, MA location.
Rockland Trust Promotes from Within for Commercial Loan Officers
November 27, 2023 - Rockland Trust is pleased to announce the promotions of both Michael Jachimczyk and Mark Machesky to AVP, Commercial Loan Officer. In this role, they will be responsible for developing new Commercial & Industrial and Commercial Real Estate relationships across Barnstable and Plymouth County. Both Jachimczyk and Machesky started in the Bank’s commercial credit training program and have built their careers within the bank over the last five years. Most recently, they served as commercial portfolio managers in their respective regions. As Commercial Loan Officers, they will continue to strengthen existing relationships as well as develop new business.
Jachimczyk earned his Bachelor of Science in Operations Management from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. In addition, he serves on the board for the White Eagle in Worcester. Machesky earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Global Finance Trading from Cambridge College. In his free time, he runs his own photography company assisting small businesses with their product and design needs.
Jared Bell Joins Rockland Trust as Commercial Loan Officer
November 06, 2023 -Rockland Trust has appointed Jared Bell as AVP, Commercial Loan Officer on the South Boston team. In this role, Bell will be responsible for developing new Commercial & Industrial and Commercial Real Estate relationships throughout both the South Shore and Greater Boston. Bell joins Rockland Trust from MountainOne Bank where he worked for over six years as a Portfolio Manager and Commercial Credit Analyst. Bell earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Bentley University. Additionally, Bell is a graduate of the American Bankers Association (ABA) Stonier Graduate School of Banking, in partnership with Wharton Executive Education.
Wayne Mathews Joins Rockland Trust’s Foreign Exchange Team
October 30, 2023 -Rockland Trust has expanded its Foreign Exchange (FX) Team with the appointment of Wayne Mathews. In this role, Mathews will be responsible for assisting existing and prospective customers of the Bank with FX transactions, in addition to exploring the expansion of Rockland Trust’s FX offerings.
Mathews joins the organization with over 26 years of experience in FX, the last 18 of which were spent building the FX program at Eastern Bank. As an active member of the South Shore community, Mathews served as President of the East Weymouth Neighborhood for seven years, was a member of the Weymouth Youth Soccer Board of Directors and is a life-long member of the Whitman’s Pond Association.
Robert Quirk Joins Rockland Trust's Investment Services
October 26, 2023 -Rockland Trust’s Investment Management Group (IMG) has appointed Robert Quirk as Vice President, Commercial Financial Consultant. Quirk will be responsible for growing and developing Rockland’s investment management business in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. Quirk brings over 20 years of investment management expertise to Rockland and has successfully operated, grown and sold several businesses. He previously held wealth management business development positions with Washington Trust and Citizens Bank.
Quirk is active in the Rhode Island community as past Chair of the Board of LaSalle Academy and is a current member of St. Elizabeth’s investment committee. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bryant University. Quirk and his wife have four children and reside in East Greenwich.
Rockland Trust’s Franchise Lending Team Expands with the Appointment of Susan Redsicker
October 16, 2023 - Rockland Trust recently appointed Susan Redsicker to its Franchise Lending Team as Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer. Redsicker will be relationships within the quick service restaurant industry. Redsicker joins Rockland Trust from Northern Bank & Trust Company where she served as a commercial loan officer in their Specialty Division. Before that, she was the Director of Financial Planning for Tompkins Financial Advisors overseeing four regions' business and personal financial planning needs. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance from Florida Gulf Coast University and her Master of Science in Finance from Syracuse University.

In this role, Conlon will provide wealth management and financial planning insight for individuals, families, non-profits and businesses throughout Downtown and South Boston, Brighton, Waltham and Norwood.
Conlon joins IMG with over 23 years of investment banking and wealth management experience across Massachusetts. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from St. John’s Seminary College. Conlon is an active member of the Quincy community where he lives with his family. He currently serves as the Central Middle School PTO President along with being a basketball coach.
Aaron J. Brissette Joins Rockland Trust’s Dealer Financial Services Lending Team

In this role, Brissette is responsible for developing relationships with dealerships throughout New England and New York.
Brissette joins Rockland Trust with seventeen years of experience in the financial services industry and nearly a decade specializing in dealer floor plan lending. Most recently, he was at Wells Fargo in their commercial auto division as Vice President, Relationship Manager. A long-time resident of Providence, RI, Brissette graduated from Johnson and Wales University with a Bachelor of Science.
Christina Babigian Joins Rockland Trust’s Residential Lending Team
August 09, 2023 – Christina Babigian has joined Rockland Trust as a Vice President, Residential Loan Officer in the Waltham office. She will be serving individuals and families throughout the home-buying process across Middlesex, Norfolk and Suffolk counties. She has over twenty years of experience in the residential lending space.
Babigian is an active member of the Greater Boston community. She is a member of the Oakley Country Club Membership Committee, along with volunteering across organizations in Waltham and at St. James Armenian Church of Watertown.
Claudius Zorokong Join’s Rockland Trust’s Commercial Banking Division
June 20, 2023 – Rockland Trust’s Commercial Banking Division expands its Boston presence with the addition of Claudius Zorokong, commercial loan officer. In this role, Zorokong will focus on uncovering opportunities to lend and invest in affordable multifamily housing developed through the use of Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) in Massachusetts.
Zorokong joins Rockland from Bank of America where he was a relationship manager overseeing a portfolio consisting of commercial real estate developers. At BofA he also served as co-chair of their Black Professional Group in Boston. Zorokong began his lending career at Freddie Mac as an underwriting associate focused on multifamily developments and is passionate about addressing the housing needs of underserved communities.
Zorokong received his Bachelor of Arts in Government from Hamilton College and his Master's in Real Estate Finance from Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies. He is active in the Greater Boston community, currently serving on the board of directors at
WriteBoston and the
Caribbean Integration Community Development Corporation.
Rockland Trust Appoints Tyrone D. Billingsly as Vice President, Commercial Lending Officer
June 20, 2023 – Tyrone (Ty) D. Billingsly has joined Rockland Trust’s Commercial Banking division in its Franklin, Massachusetts office. In this role, Billingsly will work on developing and nurturing client relationships with a focus on the medical and dental industries, in addition to C&I, CRE and construction lending.
Billingsly joins Rockland Trust with over a decade of commercial banking experience. He began his career in commercial banking at Bank of America as a Business Banking Relationship Manager and most recently, he worked at HarborOne Bank as a Commercial Lender. Billingsly is active in the local community and serves on the
Board of Directors for the YMCA of Greater Boston. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the College of Holy Cross.
Rockland Trust’s Retirement Plan Services Team Expands with the Appointment of Linda Cooper
May 30, 2023 – Rockland Trust’s Investment Management Group (IMG) has appointed Linda Cooper to its Retirement Plan Services division as a Relationship Manager. In this role, she will be responsible for investment oversight, fiduciary management as well as vendor management for the retirement clients of IMG.
Ms. Cooper brings twenty five years of experience in the retirement plan services industry for individuals and business owners across New England. She joins Rockland Trust from Edelman Financial Engines where she served as a retirement plans sales manager. Prior to that, Ms. Cooper was the South East Regional Sales Manager the American Bar Association Retirement Funds Program for Voya, and she started her career as a retirement wholesaler for New York Life Retirement Plan Services.
Ms. Cooper earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northeastern University. She also holds her FINRA Series 6, 63 and 65 licenses.
