John Meakin is a Vice President and Financial Consultant, and has been with Rockland Trust since 2021. John is responsible for evaluating client needs and goals to develop customized, long-term solutions to help build and protect their wealth. John's guiding principal is that careful planning and management of family wealth, business resources, and charitable endowments will empower clients to make their lives and institutions more impactful.
John has worked in the financial services industry since 2001. Prior to joining Rockland Trust, John developed and maintained individual and institutional client relationships for Citizens Bank, Bank of America, Salem Five Investment Services, and Boston Harbor Wealth Advisors. John holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses with LPL Financial, as well as his Life and Health Insurance Producers license. He received a BA in Economics from Duke University, where he rowed for the Men's Crew Club Team. Upon graduating, John studied Securities Analysis at the New York Institute of Finance.
John has been a Rotarian and served as a Deacon and Music Committee Treasurer at Old North Church in Marblehead. In his free time during the warmer months, John enjoys spending time with family and friends boating and golfing. In the winter, you will find him skiing and playing platform tennis. John and his wife live, and raised their daughters, in Marblehead.
