Somerset, MA – May 31, 2022- Rockland Trust is pleased to announce that Justin DeShaw has been appointed as Senior Vice President, Southcoast and Rhode Island Commercial Market Manager.
In his role, DeShaw is responsible for leading a team of seasoned Commercial & Industrial lenders in several southeastern New England markets as well as managing the Somerset and Providence Lending Centers.
Prior to joining Rockland Trust, DeShaw was Chief Lending Officer at Centreville Bank in West Warwick, RI and prior to that was a senior lender at Citizens Bank. He has spent the last 22 years in various roles at Citizens, Bank of America, and predecessor institutions of Bank of America. Prior to making his way into banking, DeShaw served in several leadership roles within Massachusetts’ state government. He began his professional life with the audit and business advisory firm, Arthur Andersen LLP in Boston.

DeShaw earned a Master of Business Administration in Corporate Finance and Accounting from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy and History from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. He is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School/Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Future Leaders Program.
Active in the community, DeShaw is a board member for Save the Bay, having served both on its executive and finance committees. Additionally, he has been an active volunteer for various other community organizations including Fox Point-East Side Little League, Central Congregational Church Endowment Funds Board, and School One, a progressive, private high school in Rhode Island. He currently resides in Providence with his wife Kirstin and their three children.
