Christopher Oddleifson

Chief Executive Officer
Christopher Oddleifson is the Chief Executive Officer of Rockland Trust Company and the President and Chief Executive Officer of its parent, Independent Bank Corp. (Nasdaq Global Select Market: INDB). Rockland Trust, a full service commercial and retail bank, serves more than 300,000 customers with over 1,200 employees. Rockland Trust has $8.1 billion in assets, $3.5 billion in assets under management and over 100 retail branches and other offices located in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Active in industry and community affairs, Mr. Oddleifson is a director of the South Shore Hospital System and South Shore Hospital, having recently served as the South Shore Hospital Board Chairman. In addition, he is past Chairman of the Massachusetts Housing Partnership, Cape Cod Community College, Massachusetts Bankers Association and United Way of Greater Plymouth County Campaign Cabinet. He has also served on the Boston Federal Reserve Bank Community Development Institution Advisory Council and the Old Colony Council’s Boy Scouts of America Board of Directors.

Previously, Mr. Oddleifson was the President of First Union Home Equity Bank, a national banking subsidiary of First Union Corporation, and the Executive Vice President, responsible for Consumer Banking, for Signet Bank in Richmond, VA. He has also worked as a management consultant for Booz, Allen and Hamilton.

Mr. Oddleifson holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Gerard F. Nadeau

President and Chief Commercial Banking Officer
Mr. Nadeau was named the President of Rockland Trust on March 16, 2017. Mr. Nadeau previously served as the Executive Vice President, Commercial Lending of Rockland Trust since July 1, 2007. Mr. Nadeau has worked at Rockland Trust in a variety of capacities since 1984, serving as a Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending from 1992 until 2007.

Robert Cozzone

Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Consumer & Business Banking
Robert Cozzone became Executive Vice President of Consumer and Business Banking in November of 2017, building upon his title of Chief Financial Officer of Independent Bank Corp. which he has held since he was appointed CFO in September 2013. From 2013 to 2015, concurrent with his Chief Financial Officer role, Mr. Cozzone served as Treasurer of Independent Bank Corp. Previously, he served as the Treasurer of both Independent Bank Corp. and Rockland Trust from April 2008 to September 2013. He became Senior Vice President and Treasurer of Rockland Trust in 2002. Mr. Cozzone joined Rockland Trust in October 1998 as a banking officer. Prior to joining the Company, he held financial positions at Bank Boston.

Mr. Cozzone is a member of the Thompson Island Outward Bound Education Center Advisory Board and the Massachusetts Business Roundtable Board of Directors. He is a graduate of Bridgewater State University and received a Master of Science from Boston College. He lives in Plymouth, Massachusetts with his wife and children and is also a part-time resident of Edgartown on Martha’s Vineyard.

Maria Harris

Senior Vice President and Director of Human Resources
Maria Harris serves as Director of Rockland Trust’s Human Resources department. She joined the Bank in 2003 as a recruiter and later was promoted to Director of Recruitment and Colleague Relations. Previously she served as Recruiter for Zurich Scudder Investments and Recruitment Manager for the May Institute. She was the recipient of the Boston Business Journal’s Wellness Champion Award and the 2010 Brockton’s Women of the Year Award. Mrs. Harris earned the distinction of SPHR and a Bachelors of Arts from Bridgewater State College. During her tenure at Rockland Trust, the Bank has been consistently ranked by The Boston Globe as one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts and recognized by the Human Rights Campaign as one of the Best Places to Work for the LGBTQ community. In addition, Maria introduced Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) focused on supporting diversity and inclusion in the workplace and the launch of RockFIT, an employee wellness program that promotes a culture of physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing through activities, events, information, and other resources.

Barry Jensen

Chief Technology and Operations Officer
Barry Jensen has worked at Rockland Trust for 15 years and currently serving as the Chief Technology and Operations Officer. Previously, he served as Controller and the Principal Accounting Officer of Rockland Trust and Independent Bank Corp. Prior to joining Rockland Trust, Barry worked at Bay Bank as a Senior Financial Analyst. He is a graduate of Salem State University and received a Master's in Business Administration from Bentley University.

Jennifer Marino

Chief Marketing and Customer Officer
Jennifer Marino is the Chief Marketing and Customer Officer at Rockland Trust. She joined the company in late 2015 and has 20 years of extensive brand marketing experience for leading financial services and consumer companies. In her role, Jennifer is responsible for continuing to build a strong and distinct brand for the company while developing marketing strategies to earn new customer relationships and strengthen existing relationships with our current customers. She is also responsible for our knowledge management practice, which uses our business intelligence to ensure the right quantitative analytical methods and statistical data modeling approaches are used to inform strategic business decisions leading to incremental revenue for the company. Prior to Rockland Trust, Jennifer was a Vice President and Senior Manager at Liberty Mutual Insurance for eight years, most recently focusing on Customer Advocacy. Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Providence College and resides in North Easton.

Edward Seksay

General Counsel and Secretary
Ed Seksay is the General Counsel and Secretary of Rockland Trust Company and its parent bank holding company Independent Bank Corp. He also serves as the Manager of Rockland Trust Company's New Markets Tax Credit lending program, which deploys awards of federal tax credits granted on a nationwide competitive basis through below market interest rate loans that promote job creation in low-income communities. Prior to joining Rockland Trust, Ed was with the Boston law firm of Heller, Levin & Seksay, P.C. from 1991 to 2000 and with the Boston law firm Choate, Hall & Stewart from 1984 to 1991. Ed is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Boston Bar Foundation and is also a Trustee of the Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation. He is also a member of the New Markets Tax Credit Coalition Board of Directors. Ed is also the Founding Chairman of the American Bankers Association Regional Banks General Counsels Group. Ed is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review, and the College of the Holy Cross.

David B. Smith, CFA

Managing Director, Chief Investment Officer
David Smith has served as Rockland Trust's Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer since 2005. Prior to that, he served as Senior Portfolio Manager and Senior Investment Officer for Rockland Trust. Before joining Rockland Trust, David was a founding partner, Senior Vice President, and Senior Portfolio Manager of Mellon Growth Advisors (MGA), a subsidiary of Mellon Financial Corporation. He has worked in the investment management field since 1990 and has also held positions at State Street Global Advisors and The Tuckerman Group. David is a CFA charterholder, a member of the CFA Institute, and the Boston Security Analysts Society. He serves on the SSGA Advisory Council and on the Advisory Board for the Finance Programs at the Sawyer School of Management at Suffolk University He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst and a Master's in Finance from the Sawyer School of Management at Suffolk University.

Debra Smith

Director of Banking and Digital Operations
As the Director of Banking and Digital Operations at Rockland Trust, Debra Smith oversees the Deposit Operations, Electronic Banking, Loan Operations, Branch Operations, Risk Management, Digital Operations, and Customer Contact Center teams. In addition, she leads the fraud mitigation efforts for the Company, through technology selections and process refinement to meet the ever-changing fraud landscape. Prior to joining Rockland Trust Deb served as Executive Vice President and BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) Officer for First National Bank of Texas, a $1.5 billion institution headquartered in Killeen Texas. Previously she held various senior leadership roles at Sovereign Bank and Bank Boston. Deb holds an Associate degree in Management from Newbury College in Brookline, MA, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA. She resides in Plymouth with her husband and two children.
