Worcester, MA – May 14, 2024 - The Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation is pleased to announce a $50,000 grant to Nativity School of Worcester to further its investment in education offerings for both boys and girls in the city of Worcester. The tuition-free school will be opening its Julie Power Girls Division this summer. Once opened, the Nativity School of Worcester will be available to students in the fifth through eighth grade who reside in under-resourced communities in Worcester.

This grant will support operating costs such as teacher salaries, expanding the capacity of its graduate support program to meet the needs of its increased student body and growing the school’s food pantry. Nativity School of Worcester provides a holistic. Jesuit education that develops the whole person under the four pillars of strength, service, scholarship, and character and continues long after students graduate from Nativity Worcester. Its food security program through the school's food pantry provides over 1,000 bags of food annually to families.
