Rockland Trust Foundation Provides Funding for New Community Center in Manchester

MANCHESTER, N.H. — August 17, 2026 — The Rockland Trust Foundation is proud to award a $50,000 grant to the Mark Stebbins Community Center (MSCC) in support of the new Mark Stebbins Community Center facility on Manchester's West Side. The 20,000-square-foot multiservice facility, opening on September 9, 2026, will bring healthcare, youth programming, food access, and family support services together under one roof, creating a centralized hub for children and families in one of the city's most underserved neighborhoods.

“We are grateful for the Rockland Trust Foundation’s support of Mark Stebbins Community Center. Their investment in the new facility will make a positive difference in the lives of children and families in our community for generations to come,” said Jeanine Tousignant, MSCC Project Facilitator and Campaign Counsel.

Beyond expanding access to essential services, the project represents a significant investment in the economy. The new community center is expected to create approximately 35 new jobs in healthcare, childcare, and community services while strengthening the long-term vitality of Manchester's West Side through a collaborative model that brings together multiple nonprofit partners and service providers in one location.

“The MSCC is an investment in both people and communities. By bringing healthcare, youth programs, food access, and family support services together in one convenient location, the new community center will become a one-stop hub connecting thousands of Manchester families with the resources they need to thrive,” said Andrea Borowiecki, Vice President of Community Giving and Engagement at Rockland Trust and Executive Director of the Rockland Trust Foundation. “Rockland Trust is proud to support a project that will strengthen families, improve quality of life, and create a lasting positive impact on Manchester’s West Side for years to come.”

When it opens, the new facility expects to serve more than 5,000 Manchester West Side residents annually, providing access to healthcare, youth programming, food assistance, and family support services. Key offerings will include a community food pantry through a partnership with New Hampshire Food Bank, and a Community Navigator program that connects residents with key benefits and resources. Through partnerships with anchor tenants Amoskeag Health and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Manchester, the MSCC is expected to serve up to 3,500 patients each year and provide programming for approximately 175 children annually. Designed as an integrated community hub, the new facility will bring multiple services together in one location, creating a coordinated network of support that helps remove barriers to access and improve outcomes for individuals and families throughout the community.
