Roshan Luitel Joins Rockland Trust as a Commercial Banking Officer
November 14, 2024 - Rockland Trust has announced the appointment of Roshan Luitel as the Commercial Banking Officer for the Bank’s Peabody Commercial Banking Center. In this role, Luitel will focus on developing new commercial real estate relationships throughout the North Shore.
Luitel joins Rockland Trust after several years at First Republic Bank, which is now part of JPMorgan Chase's Boston Commercial Banking division. There, he served as a Director and Portfolio Manager for construction and commercial lending. Prior to that, he worked as a Credit Analyst for East Boston Savings Bank.
Luitel holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Kathmandu College of Management in Nepal as well as two master's degrees from Bentley University, the first in business administration and the second in quantitative finance. Originally from Kathmandu, Luitel speaks Nepali, Hindi, and English. He currently resides in Burlington with his wife.
David McCabe Appointed to Rockland Trust’s Worcester Commercial Banking Team
November 12, 2024 – David (Dave) McCabe has been appointed Vice President, Commercial Banking Officer for the Bank’s growing Worcester County Banking team. In this role, McCabe will be responsible for identifying and developing new commercial relationships across the Greater Worcester region.
McCabe brings over two decades of commercial banking experience to the team. Most recently, he spent over 10 years at Main Street Bank, formerly Marlborough Savings Bank, within their commercial banking team, focusing on Commercial, Industrial, and Commercial Real Estate loans. He started his banking career at Citizens Bank formerly Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), a subsidiary of Citizens Financial Group, as a business banking officer and was promoted to Senior Vice President of Global Transaction Services. In that role, McCabe was responsible for treasury management solutions for clients across New England.
As an active member of the Marlborough community, McCabe currently sits on the Board of Directors for the following organizations: The Marlborough Foundation, and Access Sport America. He is also a member of the Parents Leadership Council at Bryant University and has been a Team Captain for Relay for Life since 2009. Previously, McCabe was the Vice Chairman of the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Michael Rose Appointed Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Rockland Trust
September 18, 2024 - Rockland Trust’s Investment Management Group (IMG) announced the appointment of Michael Rose as Vice President, Portfolio Manager for the Greater Worcester region. In his new role, Rose will develop an investment strategy tailored to each client's objectives, financial goals, and risk tolerance. This will include custom asset allocation, long-term goal planning, and securities research.
Prior to joining Rockland Trust, Rose spent over two decades at Opus Investment Management, Inc., a subsidiary of The Hanover Insurance Group in the Worcester office. He began as a Trading Associate and was later promoted to Vice President, Portfolio Manager. In this position, Rose oversaw fixed-income and asset allocation strategies for more than twenty clients, contributing to the development and expansion of investment into new fixed-income sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Clark University.
Rockland Trust Appoints Saher Riazuddin as Commercial Banking Officer
September 16, 2024 - Rockland Trust has announced the appointment of Saher Riazuddin as Commercial Banking Officer for the Bank’s Raynham Commercial Banking Center. In this role, Riazuddin will be responsible for developing new Commercial & Industrial relationships across southeastern Massachusetts.
Riazuddin brings over twenty years of commercial banking experience to Rockland Trust. Prior to joining Rockland Trust, he served as a Senior Vice President and Relationship Manager at M&T Bank (formerly People’s United Bank) for six years. Before that, Riazuddin held positions at Citizens Bank, HSBC Bank (formerly First Niagara Bank), PNC, and SunTrust Bank. He is fluent in five languages: Urdu, Hindi, Arabic, Punjabi, and English.
David Semenza Joins Rockland Trust’s Non-Profit Banking Team
August 12, 2024 - Rockland Trust recently expanded its Non-Profit Banking Team by appointing David Semenza as Vice President, Commercial Banking Relationship Manager. In this role, Semenza will develop customized financial solutions for non-profit organizations, empowering them to enhance financial stability and concentrate on sustainable growth to better support the communities across Greater Boston.
Semenza brings over fifteen years of experience specializing in non-profit banking, and has extensive knowledge of supporting charter schools, independent private schools, colleges and universities, human service providers, and other non-profit organizations. Most recently, he served three years as First Vice President and Team Leader of Non-Profit Organizations for Cambridge Trust Company. Previously, Semenza held positions at HarborOne Bank and Boston Private Bank and Trust. Semenza earned his Bachelor of Science in economics and finance from Bentley University and his Master of Science in economics and economic policy from Suffolk University.
Rockland Trust Appoints Chris Reilly as Vice President, Commercial Banking Officer
July 30, 2024 - Rockland Trust has appointed Chris Reilly of Methuen as Vice President and Commercial Banking Officer for the Bank’s growing North of Boston team. In this role, Reilly will build relationships with mid-size companies across Northern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire.
Reilly joins Rockland Trust from Eastern Bank, where he spent thirteen years as a Vice President, Business Banking Relationship Manager, and previously, a branch manager. During his time there, Reilly was a seven-time Eastern Bank Pinnacle Production Award Achiever and guided businesses with lending options, including the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) loan programs.
Reilly is highly engaged in his local community, where he currently sits at various organizations such as the Kano Foundation of North America and Pep’s Peddlers a fundraising group dedicated to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s. Reilly previously sat on the Venture Fund Credit committee approval board of Lawrence Partnership/Mill City Communities.
William Walsh Joins Rockland Trust’s Asset Based Lending Division
June 6, 2024 - Rockland Trust recently expanded its Asset Based Lending Team with the appointment of William Walsh as Vice President, Relationship Manager. In this role, Mr. Walsh is responsible for cultivating and nurturing relationships with clients across the team’s portfolio.
Mr. Walsh joins Rockland Trust with two decades of experience in the financial services industry, specializing in asset-based and cash flow lending. Most recently, he worked for State Street as the Vice President of Global Credit Finance, Real Money Funds Lending. Mr. Walsh also serves as a Director for Ashworth Bros., Inc. Board of Directors and has held this position since 2018.
From Branch Manager to Business Banker: Josef Danilchuk Promoted to Business Banking Officer
May 30, 2024 –Rockland Trust is pleased to announce that Josef Danilchuk has been promoted to Vice President, Business Banking Officer. Danilchuk will serve business owners across East Boston and North of Boston. Danilchuk joined Rockland Trust in 2015 as a teller for the Bank’s Arlington branch and moved through various branch locations across Greater Boston while participating in internal training and development programs. For the last two years, he served as a branch manager in Newton.
In his new role, Danilchuk will partner with business owners to support their growth by providing strategic advice and access to credit. “As someone who grew up in Medford and has relatives that also own small businesses, I am thrilled to start this role” says Danilchuk.
Rockland Trust’s Investment Management Group Grows Estate Planning Division
May 22, 2024 -Rockland Trust’s Investment Management Group (IMG) has appointed Francis (Frank) R. Mulé, JD, as Assistant Vice President, Estate Settlement & Trust Termination. In this role, Mulé works with estate and trust beneficiaries across Massachusetts and Rhode Island managing, settling, and closing all estate and personal trust accounts.
Mulé joins Rockland Trust’s IMG team with a decade of experience in estate and tax planning. Most recently, he was a trust and estates attorney at Bass, Doherty & Finks P.C. in Boston supporting high net worth clients in the preparation and administration of complex estate plans.
Mulé earned his Bachelor of Science from Rochester Institute of Technology. He also holds a law degree from Northeastern University School of Law. He is the former chair of the Young Lawyers Division Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Bar Association in Boston, a current member of the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Probate Section Council, and a Foundation Fellow for the Massachusetts Bar Foundation. Frank lives in Dedham with his husband Nick.
Michael S. Tivnan, CLU Joins Rockland Trust’s Worcester Investment Management Group
May 20, 2024 -Rockland Trust’s Investment Management Group (IMG) has appointed Michael S. Tivnan, CLU as Vice President, Commercial Financial Consultant. Tivnan will be responsible for growing and developing Rockland’s investment management business with business owners and families in Worcester County and central Massachusetts.
He brings over 20 years of planning and investment management expertise and additional advisory roles for financial services companies. Tivnan earned his Bachelor of Arts from Providence College and is a graduate of St. John’s High School in Shrewsbury. He is a Chartered Life Underwriter and holds his FINRA series 6, 7, 63 and 66 licenses.
Nantucket Local Gets Promoted as Business Banking Officer for Nantucket Bank
February 12, 2024 - Nantucket Bank, a division of Rockland Trust, is pleased to announce that Benjamin Ferrantella has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Business Banking Officer. In this role, Ferrantella will be responsible for growing relationships with Nantucket businesses.
Ferrantella has been a resident of the island for nearly his whole life and has been with Nantucket Bank since 2017. He previously worked as a Commercial Credit Underwriter. Prior to that, he worked at Brown Brothers Harriman as an Operations Specialist in Boston after earning his bachelor's degree in management and finance from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
Rockland Trust’s Government Banking Team Expands
February 12, 2024 - Rockland Trust has expanded its Government Banking Team with the addition of Jill Sorel as a Municipal Sales & Service Officer. In this role, Sorel will manage and expand the Housing Authority portfolio and provide daily service support to existing municipalities.
Sorel joins Rockland Trust after dedicating more than 15 years at Citizens Bank in various roles, including retail banking and business banking. She most recently served as the branch manager of Citizen Bank’s Marshfield, MA location.
Rockland Trust Promotes from Within for Commercial Loan Officers
November 27, 2023 - Rockland Trust is pleased to announce the promotions of both Michael Jachimczyk and Mark Machesky to AVP, Commercial Loan Officer. In this role, they will be responsible for developing new Commercial & Industrial and Commercial Real Estate relationships across Barnstable and Plymouth County. Both Jachimczyk and Machesky started in the Bank’s commercial credit training program and have built their careers within the bank over the last five years. Most recently, they served as commercial portfolio managers in their respective regions. As Commercial Loan Officers, they will continue to strengthen existing relationships as well as develop new business.
Jachimczyk earned his Bachelor of Science in Operations Management from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. In addition, he serves on the board for the White Eagle in Worcester. Machesky earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Global Finance Trading from Cambridge College. In his free time, he runs his own photography company assisting small businesses with their product and design needs.
Mathews joins the organization with over 26 years of experience in FX, the last 18 of which were spent building the FX program at Eastern Bank. As an active member of the South Shore community, Mathews served as President of the East Weymouth Neighborhood for seven years, was a member of the Weymouth Youth Soccer Board of Directors and is a life-long member of the Whitman’s Pond Association.
Quirk is active in the Rhode Island community as past Chair of the Board of LaSalle Academy and is a current member of St. Elizabeth’s investment committee. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bryant University. Quirk and his wife have four children and reside in East Greenwich.
Zorokong joins Rockland from Bank of America where he was a relationship manager overseeing a portfolio consisting of commercial real estate developers. At BofA he also served as co-chair of their Black Professional Group in Boston. Zorokong began his lending career at Freddie Mac as an underwriting associate focused on multifamily developments and is passionate about addressing the housing needs of underserved communities.
Zorokong received his Bachelor of Arts in Government from Hamilton College and his Master's in Real Estate Finance from Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies. He is active in the Greater Boston community, currently serving on the board of directors at WriteBoston and the Caribbean Integration Community Development Corporation.
Billingsly joins Rockland Trust with over a decade of commercial banking experience. He began his career in commercial banking at Bank of America as a Business Banking Relationship Manager and most recently, he worked at HarborOne Bank as a Commercial Lender. Billingsly is active in the local community and serves on the Board of Directors for the YMCA of Greater Boston. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the College of Holy Cross.
Ms. Cooper brings twenty five years of experience in the retirement plan services industry for individuals and business owners across New England. She joins Rockland Trust from Edelman Financial Engines where she served as a retirement plans sales manager. Prior to that, Ms. Cooper was the South East Regional Sales Manager the American Bar Association Retirement Funds Program for Voya, and she started her career as a retirement wholesaler for New York Life Retirement Plan Services.
Ms. Cooper earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northeastern University. She also holds her FINRA Series 6, 63 and 65 licenses.
