Hanover, Massachusetts. October 27, 2020 – Rockland Trust, the largest publicly traded commercial bank headquartered in Massachusetts, announced today the appointment of Alastair Ironside to Chief Marketing Officer. Alastair brings 25 years of financial industry experience and expertise in corporate marketing, management consulting, and strategic planning to this position. As Chief Marketing Officer, Alastair will serve on the Bank’s executive leadership team, reporting to Chris Oddleifson, Chief Executive Officer.

In his role, Alastair will be responsible for continuing to build Rockland Trust’s distinct and robust brand while developing marketing strategies to earn new customer relationships for the Bank as well as nurture and strengthen existing relationships. He will play an integral part in the Bank’s strategic planning process and marketing and advertising effectiveness.

Prior to joining Rockland Trust, Alastair held leadership roles at Liberty Mutual, Bank of America, and Citizens Bank. Most recently, Alastair co-led the global internal strategy consulting group at Liberty Mutual Insurance, focusing on corporate strategy and research. He is a graduate of Cambridge University, England, and lives in Wellesley with his family.
