Hanover, Massachusetts – August 12, 2025 – Rockland Trust Company today announced the appointment of Tamina O’Neill as EVP/Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of Rockland Trust and its bank holding company parent, Independent Bank Corp. (NASDAQ Global Select Market: INDB).
As CRO, O’Neill will be responsible for the enterprise-wide monitoring, controls, measurement, and reporting of all major risk types as well as for expanding on the Bank’s existing Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) infrastructure to help the organization mitigate risks and maintain colleague, customer, community, shareholder, and regulatory confidence.

Before joining Rockland Trust, O’Neill served as Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer at Heartland Financial USA. Prior to that, she worked at MB Financial, now Fifth Third Bank, as the Director of Enterprise & Operations Risk Management. O’Neill has also held various senior leadership roles at Cole Taylor Bank, PrivateBancorp, Inc., and Bank of America.
O’Neill earned her bachelor’s degree from Dominican University and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. In 2024, O’Neill was recognized as one of the Top 50 Women Chief Risk Officers by Women We Admire.
