Video Tellers Offer Customers Convenient Banking Hours
Worcester, MA - March 3, 2020 – Rockland Trust Bank celebrated the grand opening of its first retail branch in Worcester at 301 Grove St. located in the Trolley Yard development. Branch Manager Shana Hazen, who manages a team of four relationship bankers, leads the branch. Shana joined Rockland Trust in the summer of 2019 with nearly two decades of banking experience. She previously served as a branch manager for Commerce Bank in Worcester from 2003 to 2019.
The new branch features two 24 hour ATMs with Live Teller Services which provide customers additional hours of service (7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturdays). These ATMs with Video Teller technology allow a customer to speak with a live person to assist with any account questions and help with cashing checks to the penny, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments and much more. Customers will have 24-hour access to a drive-up ATM along with an ATM inside the branch. Additionally, Rockland Trust has opened eight ATMs in Worcester County: three in Worcester and the others in Whitinsville, Sturbridge, Auburn, Shrewsbury, and Clinton.
The opening of a retail branch marks a significant milestone for Rockland Trust’s expansion into the Worcester market and along the MetroWest corridor. Following the opening of Rockland Trust’s Commercial Lending & Investment office at 100 Front Street in 2018, Worcester has become a critical location for the Bank as the city continues to thrive economically and culturally.
“We’re incredibly proud to bring Rockland Trust’s exceptional retail banking services to new customers in Worcester at a time of tremendous growth for the city,” said Margaret McCarthy, Senior Vice President, Director of Retail Administration at Rockland Trust. “We are fully invested in this community and look forward to supporting the remarkable institutions that make Worcester a special place for many to live, work, and visit.”
The branch also offers safe deposit boxes, foreign currency and exchange, a dedicated business banking officer, and an investment management financial consultant. For customers 50 and over, Rockland Trust offers The Club at Rockland Trust, an exclusive program that gives customers access to elite banking services, social events, and group travel. Beyond in-person banking, Rockland Trust offers free online banking with bill pay, free mobile banking with mobile check deposit, instant issue debit cards, and online account opening that takes five minutes or less.
