FALL RIVER, MA. – August 30, 2017 – Recently, the Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation presented a $100,000 grant to Stanley Street Treatment and Resources (SSTAR) in Fall River. A non-profit health care and social service agency, SSTAR provides a wide range of mental health and substance abuse treatment services to the communities of Southeastern Massachusetts.
As part of its fundraising efforts, Stanley Street Treatment and Resources intends to construct a new 38,000 square foot facility that will increase capacity of its services for patients with substance use disorders. The inpatient units will house 30 detoxification beds, 30 short term rehabilitation beds, a triage and assessment center; a federally qualified health center that will house primary care facilities; and a medication assisted treatment center for those with opiate and alcohol addiction.
