Rockland Trust Comes Together with Cardinal Cushing Centers to Raise Over $150,000

Hanover, MA – October 8, 2020 – Over $150,000 was raised during the 34th annual St. Coletta Classic Golf Tournament held last month with Rockland Trust employees' help. This tournament raises funds for the students and adults with intellectual disabilities served by Cardinal Cushing Centers. Cardinal Cushing Centers is a caring intergenerational community where people live full and meaningful lives at home, at work and at school and at play.

“We are honored to support and be involved with Cardinal Cushing for so many years,” said Jeffrey Smith, Senior Vice President at Rockland Trust. “2020 has been a year filled with uncertainty, especially for our local community’s non-profit organizations. We are so proud to be able to assist in raising funds for this incredible organization, and stand committed to the well-being of the communities we serve.”

Rockland Trust's Investment Management Group (IMG) has been involved with Cardinal Cushing for over a decade through their participation in committees, boards, and volunteering. For the past 15 years, Rockland Trust employees have lead the fundraising committee, organized and participated in the St. Coletta Classic golf tournament, which has raised well over $1 million for Cardinal Cushing Centers. This year was no exception as Rockland Trust reached out and brought on roughly 20% of its vendors to help contribute to this worthy cause. Rockland Trust colleagues from multiple departments come together every year in a true team effort to support Cardinal Cushing through the St. Coletta Golf Tournament.
