Rockland Trust Investment Management Group Expands into the North Shore with the Appointment of James Ogborn and John Meakin

Peabody, MA – January 3, 2022 – Rockland Trust recently expanded its Investment Management Group into the North Shore with the appointment of James (Jim) Ogborn and John Meakin as Vice President, Financial Consultants. Jim and John will serve clients on the North Shore and focus on evaluating their needs and goals to develop customized, long-term solutions to help build and protect their wealth. With the recent merger of East Boston Savings Bank, the Investment Management Group became focused on finding local talent in the new communities it is now serving.

Jim Ogborn: 

Jim has worked in the financial services industry since 2010. Prior to joining Rockland Trust, he was an Assistant Vice President and Financial Advisor with Citizens Securities. Jim received his BS in Business Administration/Finance from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. He holds FINRA Series 7, 6, 63 & 65 registrations, as well as a Life and Health Insurance License.  


JohnMeakin John Meakin: 

John brings over 20 years of financial services experience to Rockland Trust. Prior to joining Rockland Trust, he managed client relationships for Citizens Bank, Bank of America, Salem Five Investment Services, and Boston Harbor Wealth Advisors. John holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses, as well as his Life and Health Insurance Producers license. He received a BA in Economics from Duke University, where he rowed for the Men's Crew Club Team. Upon graduating, John studied Securities Analysis at the New York Institute of Finance.
