Shrewsbury, MA – March 30, 2021 – Rockland Trust Bank celebrated the grand opening of its first retail branch in Shrewsbury, located in the Lakeway Commons at 193 Boston Turnpike off of route 9, earlier this week. Warren Manigault, Shrewsbury Branch Manager, and the Bank’s Worcester Regional Retail Manager, leads a team of Relationship Bankers at this location who are available to assist with every day transactions, in-branch and digital banking technology and more complex financial needs.
Rockland Trust’s newest branch features a 24 hour ATM with Live Teller Services, which provides customers additional hours of service, seven days a week before and after branch hours. These ATMs with Video Teller technology allow a customer to speak with a live person to assist with any account questions and help with cashing checks, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments and much more.
"To us, banking is about much more than processing deposits and withdrawals" said Manigault. "We look at every interaction as an opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with our customers. And by offering a financial partnership, we become a trusted advisor to help them, their family, their friends and their business.”
The Shrewsbury branch is the Bank’s sixth retail branch location in Worcester County. In addition to their branches, Rockland Trust has a Commercial Lending and Investment Management office in Worcester as well as eight stand-alone ATMs in Worcester County.
"We are thrilled to be able to expand our branch network in Worcester County and look forward to all of the strong relationships we will build with the Shrewsbury community,” said Margaret McCarthy, Senior Vice President, Director of Retail Administration at Rockland Trust. “Our success is based on having respectful and knowledgeable bankers, and Warren and his team bring a high-level of experience, professionalism and energy into every conversation."
In keeping with the organization’s commitment to strengthening the communities it serves, the Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation provided a $5,000 donation to both the Worcester County Food Bank and Shrewsbury Youth & Family Services.
The branch at 193 Boston Turnpike also offers safe deposit boxes, foreign currency and exchange, a dedicated business banking officer, and an investment management financial consultant. Beyond in-person banking, Rockland Trust offers free online banking with bill pay, free mobile banking with mobile check deposit, instant issue debit cards, and online account opening that takes five minutes or less.
The new branch will be open six days a week. Hours of operation include:
