Rockland, Mass. (March 6, 2015) – Rockland Trust today announced it has promoted Roberta M. Sousa to First Vice President and District Manager. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing branches that Rockland Trust added from the merger with People’s Federal Savings Bank in the Greater Boston Area. The branches are located in Allston, Brighton, West Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, Brookline, Norwood, and Westwood. She is also responsible for five branches in the Metro West region in Bellingham, two Branches in Franklin, Medfield, and Milford.
A long-time Rockland Trust employee, Roberta has spent nearly 20 years at the bank. Most recently she was Vice President and Manager of the Norwell Branch.
Roberta earned a Bachelor Degree in Business Management and a Master Degree in Business Ethics and Compliance from the New England College of Business. She is currently a Financial Literacy Instructor for the Mary Martha Learning Center in Hingham and the Friendship Home in Norwell. In addition, she is an Asset Allocation Panelist for the United Way. Roberta resides in Marshfield, Mass with her husband and family.
