Hanover, MA – November 20, 2025 – Rockland Trust colleagues across the Bank’s branch network are coming together to support neighbors facing food insecurity through locally organized food drives. From Yarmouth to Lowell, teams are volunteering their time, coordinating with community groups, and setting up donation bins to help ensure that families have access to the essentials they need.
During a recent internal meeting, Officers of the Bank pooled their efforts and collected more than five hundred food and household items for a nearby nonprofit. This spirit of teamwork and compassion is being reflected across dozens of branches as colleagues mobilize to support local pantries and community partners.
To further strengthen this work, Rockland Trust has also awarded more than fifty thousand dollars in donations to food-focused organizations within its footprint. These funds are being directed to nonprofits that provide nutritious meals, support local pantries, and expand access to essential food resources.
“Food insecurity remains a pressing challenge in the towns and cities we serve,” said Andrea Borowiecki, Vice President of Community Giving and Engagement at Rockland Trust and Executive Director of the Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation. “It has been especially meaningful to see our colleagues pairing these grants with their own community-driven efforts. Their commitment reflects the heart of our mission and shows that real impact begins with people who care.”
Community members interested in taking part in one of these local drives may contact any Rockland Trust branch in the following communities: Allston, Brighton, East Boston, Falmouth, Foxboro, Halifax, Lowell, Marshfield, Mendon, Newton, Peabody, Quincy, Whitman, and Yarmouth.
