Hanover, MA (June 2, 2020) – Rockland Trust’s two affiliated charitable foundations (Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation, Inc. and Rockland Trust-Blue Hills Charitable Foundation, Inc.) have made their second phase of COVID-19 relief grants, providing $270,000 in total grants to 43 organizations across Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Phase II grants were primarily designed to address the needs of individuals whose lives have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic and who often do not have access to existing support networks. The three key areas in the second phase of giving focused on:

The first phase of COVID-19 relief grants by Rockland Trust’s affiliated foundations were comprised of $140,000 in grants to nine local non-profit, front-line organizations across the Rockland Trust footprint to help fund a swift, emergency response to meet basic needs, such as emergency childcare and food insecurity and emergency childcare. The foundations have committed to granting at least $500,000 to pandemic relief efforts.
