The Rockland Trust Peoples Federal Foundation presented a $20,000 donation to the DCF Kids Fund on May 1, 2017. A 501c3 charity, the DCF Kids Fund
serves as a resource for abused and neglected children in the care of the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families. Funding will be used to provide camperships throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, ensuring 60 children will benefit from an enriching summer camp opportunity.
A platform for children to improve their confidence, self-esteem, social skills and make lasting friendships, camperships enable siblings separated in foster care to spend time together, provide at-risk children placement stabilization, and create enrichment opportunities for kids who otherwise may be left home alone.

With their time at camp, it is our hope that each child will be able to improve their overall wellbeing.”

The DCF Kids Fund serves as a resource for abused and neglected children in the care of the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families. The goal of the DCF Kids Fund is to provide basic necessities and enrichment opportunities to the 50,000 children served by the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (Over 9,500 children in foster care, residential care, and group home settings).
