Donate Your Used Prom Attire to Students in Need
Prom is one of the biggest life events for high school students, and a major milestone. For students with limited financial resources, prom can be a source of tremendous stress. Belle of the Ball cleans and distributes prom dresses to high school students who would otherwise not have the opportunity to attend their school’s prom. All gowns collected are professionally dry cleaned by Anton’s Cleaners. Since the program’s inception in 2005, more than 76,000 prom gowns have been collected, cleaned and distributed to local students.
Dresses are distributed at an annual Belle of the Ball boutique where over 1,000 referred students from Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island attend and are able to select their dress, shoes and accessories at no charge.
Each spring all Rockland Trust branches (Find Your Local Branch) will accept donations of gently worn prom dresses and gowns. If your closet feels a bit crowded, please consider donating them to the Belle of the Ball program.
