Human Rights Campaign Foundation Designates Rockland Trust a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality

Earns Perfect Score in the 2018 Corporate Equality Index

Rockland, Mass. – November 9, 2017 – The Human Rights Campaign Foundation announced the results of its 2018 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), which placed Rockland Trust among the top ranks of major U.S. businesses who received a perfect score of 100 percent on the Index.

A national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality, the Index evaluates non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.

Historically, over 1,000 businesses are rated in the report each year. Rockland Trust’s efforts in satisfying all of the Index’s criteria resulted in the 100 percent ranking and designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality for the third consecutive year.

“We are honored to be recognized by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation as a top place to work for the LGBTQ community again this year,” said Christopher Oddleifson, Rockland Trust CEO. “Rockland Trust strives to be a leader in workplace equality, and we will continue to maintain a culture that promotes personal and professional growth for all colleagues.”
