Rockland Trust scholarship program

Are you or someone you know looking to apply for a scholarship?

Rockland Trust’s annual scholarship program opens on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

  • Up to sixteen needs-based scholarships of $3,000 each will be granted1.
  • Awards are renewable2 for up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned.
  • Applicants must reside in one of the following counties:
    • Barnstable, Bristol, Dukes, Essex, Middlesex, Nantucket, Norfolk, Plymouth, Suffolk, or Worcester Counties in Massachusetts
    • Hillsborough and Rockingham County in New Hampshire
    • Providence County in Rhode Island

The scholarship portal will close on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 11:59 P.M. Pacific Time Zone.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Be a high school senior, graduate, or GED recipient (current college undergraduates are ineligible)
  • Plan to enroll in part-time or full-time undergraduate study for the first time3 at an accredited two or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year (2026-2027)
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)
  • Completed Student Aid Index from Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Disclosures:
1. Sixteen need-based renewable scholarships of $3,000 each will be awarded. If there are eligible applicants, an award will be granted to a minimum of one recipient from each of the eleven counties and two awards of $3,000 each to applicants who self-identify as coming from a single-parent family, and reside in East Boston, MA (zip code 02128); Revere, MA (zip codes 02150 and 02151); or Winthrop, MA (zip code 02152).
 
2. Scholarships are renewable based on the awardee’s continued enrollment and maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
 
3. Students who participated in college courses while in high school are eligible.
